Are you skilled in vehicle tracking systems and passionate about technology in field operations? We're looking for an AVL Technician to support our fleet and mobile equipment with real-time monitoring and technical expertise!
π§ Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain AVL hardware (GPS units, antennas, wiring) in vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Support and install additional monitoring devices, such as CAN bus modules and other equipment-related tech.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure system functionality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair AVL systems, ensuring stable network connectivity.
- Monitor data from AVL systems and generate reports to support logistics, operations, and safety.
- Coordinate with software/platform providers for system updates and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Follow all site safety and technical standards during tasks.
π Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in installing and maintaining AVL / GPS tracking systems.
- Good understanding of networking, cabling, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Familiarity with additional monitoring devices and sensors is a plus.
- Valid driving license (essential).
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for site and vendor coordination.
- Self-motivated and able to respond to urgent maintenance needs independently.
