Key Responsibilities:
Report and Dashboard Development:
- Design, develop, and publish interactive, visually appealing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications to deliver accurate reporting solutions.
Data Management:
- Connect, import, transform, and visualize data from multiple sources (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases).
- Optimize data models for performance and usability within Power BI.
Database Interaction:
- Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, clean, and structure data from relational databases.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across reports and dashboards.
Business Analysis & Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with product development teams, analysts, and others to align on data strategies and reporting goals.
Maintenance and Support:
- Maintain and enhance existing reports and dashboards based on evolving business needs.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely support for reporting solutions.
Best Practices and Documentation:
- Follow BI and reporting best practices for design, development, security, and deployment.
- Create and maintain documentation for report specifications, data sources, and dashboard user guides.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in reporting, data analysis, or BI development.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, report/dashboard publishing).
- Strong SQL skills (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar relational database management systems).
- Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and scalable data solutions.
- Solid understanding of database structures, data warehouses, and data integration.
- Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights clearly.
- Detail-oriented, committed to delivering high-quality reporting outputs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills to gather requirements and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
